Lisa Smith is an experienced Talent Acquisition Officer with a focus on Youth Justice at the NSW Department of Communities and Justice since June 2017, complemented by the position of Acting HR Advisor in the same department. Prior to this, Lisa held various roles at Disability Services Australia, including Assistant Manager and Employment Consultant in the School Leaver Employment Support program from February 2011 to May 2017. Lisa's career began at PeoplePlus Australia as Administration & Post Placement Support and at Woolworths Supermarkets in Customer Service. With a strong educational background, Lisa holds a Diploma of Community Welfare and a Certificate IV in Community Services, both from SouthWest Sydney Tafe, and completed high school at Airds High School.

The DCJ is the lead agency in the new Stronger Communities Cluster. The department enables services to better work together to support everyone's right to access justice and other help for families, and strengthen/bolster the promotion of early intervention and inclusion, with benefits for the whole community. Working together in the Stronger Communities cluster means we can continue to deliver services with a more unified and collaborative approach. There is now a greater focus on prevention and early intervention, faster responses, more seamless operations, less duplication of effort and better outcomes.
