Mark Herrero

Mark Herrero, MCIPS, serves as the Chief Procurement Officer for the NSW Department of Communities and Justice since January 2021, leading the procurement function to provide strategic and cost-effective services. Previously, Mark held positions at the NSW Police Force, including Director of Sourcing & Negotiations, where strategic procurement leadership was provided across multiple categories, and Sourcing & Tender Negotiations Manager, overseeing sourcing activities and team management. Earlier experience includes project management in the NSW Department of Education and Communities, and various procurement roles at RailCorp, AMP, and Metronet Rail. Mark's extensive experience encompasses strategic planning, supplier development, contract management, and risk management across numerous sectors.
