Michael Wang

Michael Wang is an experienced network engineering professional with a strong background in managing and improving network infrastructure. Currently serving as the Team Lead for Data Network Engineering at the NSW Department of Planning and Environment since May 2021, Michael is responsible for leading the network engineering team, overseeing network design and implementation, and delivering projects. Previously, as a Senior Network Engineer at the City of Ryde from September 2010 to May 2021, Michael managed complex network infrastructures across over 22 council sites, contributed to the Digital Workplace Transformation project, and acted as a mentor for junior IT support officers. Earlier in the career, Michael worked at H3C as a Network Software and Support Engineer, providing L3 support for global customers. Michael holds certifications in Citrix NetScaler and has extensive training in Microsoft technologies.
