James Kemp

James Kemp currently serves as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Minister for Health, Regional Health and Illawarra and South Coast at the NSW Government, a position held since August 2025. Prior to this role, James Kemp was the Head of Planning at Calvary Health Care from September 2021 to August 2025 and worked as Director of Health Policy for Catholic Health Australia from September 2019 to August 2021. Early in the career, James Kemp held the position of Chief Operating Officer at the Translational Health Research Institute at Western Sydney University from January 2016 to January 2020. James Kemp's educational background includes a Graduate Certificate in Health Administration from Australian Catholic University, a Master’s Degree from the University of New England (AU), and studies at UNSW and St Patricks College Strathfield.
