Mat Campbell is an experienced policy leader currently serving as the Director of Policy for Housing, Homelessness, and Mental Health with the NSW Government, providing senior advisory support to Minister Rose Jackson. Previous roles include Director Strategy & Coordination at Aboriginal Affairs NSW and Director in the Premier's Implementation Unit at the Department of Premier and Cabinet. Mat's background also includes significant positions at the Department of Justice NSW, KPMG US as a Director in the Justice and Security practice, and KPMG Australia as an Associate Director focusing on national security consulting. Early career experiences include consulting roles and intelligence analysis with the Department of Defence and a brief tenure at DFAT. Mat holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies from UNSW and a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in International Relations from the University of South Australia.
