Nimal Skandhakumar

Nimal Skandhakumar is a Senior Security Awareness Analyst at NSW Government since January 2022, focusing on cultivating a strong cybersecurity culture within the organization. Concurrently, Nimal serves as an Adjunct Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, where teaching and applied research in networking, security, and control systems are prominent. Nimal has previously held positions such as Faculty Deputy Proctor and Visiting Lecturer at the University of Westminster. Previous experience includes roles at the Australian Red Cross as a Stakeholder Engagement Officer and in various capacities in software engineering and community engagement. Nimal holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer and Information Systems Security from Queensland University of Technology and an Honours Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Moratuwa.
