Sahana Nandakumar

Sahana Nandakumar is currently serving as a Resident Medical Officer at NSW Health since January 2023. Prior to this role, Sahana held the position of Deputy Dean at UNSW Hall from January 2021 to December 2022 and served as Chair of the Board of Directors and Director at Arc - UNSW Student Life from June 2019 to June 2021. Experience includes moderating for Play Safe NSW at NSW Health from March 2019 to March 2020, as well as editorial contributions as Sub-Editor for Tharunka at Arc @ UNSW in 2018. Sahana has also served as President of the Colombo Gavel Club under Toastmasters International from June 2016 to June 2017 and worked as a writer for The Grassrooted Trust, focusing on sexual and reproductive health awareness. Other roles include content writing at Media 360 and completing a Basic Medical Observation and Training at Sri Jayawardenepura General Hospital. Sahana earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from UNSW from 2017 to 2023 and completed high school at Ladies' College, obtaining a High School Diploma in 2016.
