Leon Tarbotton

Leon Tarbotton is an experienced snowsports coach currently serving as the head coach for Turn and Burn ski and snowboard and Thredbo Mountain Academy since June 2023. Previously, Leon held multiple roles at the NSW Institute of Sport, including National Freeski Team Head Coach and Technical Freeski Coach. Experience also includes serving as Snowsports Manager and Freeski Coach at GoSnow Niseko and Perisher, along with a role as Head Coach at the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia from June 2018 to July 2019. Additional coaching and management experience was gained at Ski and Snowboard Australia and GoSnow Niseko from 2015 to July 2019. Leon holds a Diploma of Education from the Canberra Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Canberra, following education at Marist College Canberra.
