Sal Folino

Sal Folino is an experienced professional in the energy and utilities sector, currently serving as the Manager of the Project Management Office, Manager of Operations, and Manager of Procurement and Standards at NT Power since May 2020. In this role, Sal has provided leadership and oversight of procurement, standards, and warehousing departments, ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices. Previously, from April 2019 to April 2020, Sal worked as a Power Distribution Engineer at Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution Ltd., supporting engineering and operations teams with project designs and system planning. Sal's early career included various engineering roles at Toronto Hydro from July 2011 to April 2019, where significant contributions included managing over 100MW of Distributed Energy Resource projects and implementing innovative projects such as the world's first underwater compressed air energy storage system. Sal holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Ryerson University, awarded in 2010.
