Evgenii Kononenko

Evgenii Kononenko has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 2017, they worked as a Data Analyst at Tinkoff Bank. Following this, they moved to B2B-Center and worked as a Data Scientist, developing a recommendation system for an electronic trading B2B platform and a text classification system for corporate procurement descriptions. In 2018, they joined NAÏVE Software as a DL Engineer, where they focused on creating a system for automatic processing and editing of raw videos, solving problems related to object detection, scene classification, and video frame quality assessment. Evgenii then joined Samsung R&D Institute & AI Center Russia in 2019 as a Researcher at the Visual, Learning and Telepresence Lab, where they developed 3D human avatars driven by voice and worked on human pose estimation from sparse IMU sensors. At NtechLab, they held the role of Senior Research Engineer, contributing to the development of various aspects of face recognition technology and achieving first place in the NIST FRVT 1:1 competition. Evgenii recently transitioned to the position of Lead Data Scientist in Medicine at NtechLab.

Evgenii Kononenko pursued their education at multiple institutions, starting with a Bachelor's degree in the Department of Management and Applied Mathematics at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) from 2014 to 2018. Evgenii then continued their studies at the same institution to complete two Master's degrees. The first was in the Department of Management and Applied Mathematics, and the second was in Data Science at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology from 2018 to 2020.
