Jamiyu Badmus has a diverse range of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Jamiyu started their career in 2013 as a Contractor Engineer at Laplace Technologies Limited. From there, they worked at LM Ericsson as a Field Maintenance Engineer, specializing in 2G and 3G RAN-RBS and LTE network architecture. Jamiyu had extensive knowledge and experience with Ericsson products and software, such as Mini-Link/LCT, Putty, SIU Element Manager, and MOSHELL. Jamiyu also had expertise in site installations and alignments, transmission link troubleshooting, and electrical repair and maintenance of hybrid power systems.

In 2015, Jamiyu joined Huawei Technologies as a Transmission Engineer, where they continued their work in corrective maintenance of radio-links and E1 routing.
