Otu (Solomon) Udom has over 24 years of work experience in security operations and management. Otu (Solomon) currently serves as the Head of Security at ntel since June 2019. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Manager, Security Operations at NATCOM since October 2015.
From 2012 to 2015, Otu (Solomon) Udom worked at Airtel Nigeria Ltd as the Ag Head of Security Services, where they were responsible for overseeing security operations. Otu (Solomon) also served as the Manager of Security Investigations & Audit, conducting investigations into security incidents and breaches.
Before joining Airtel Nigeria Ltd, Otu (Solomon) Udom worked at Airtel Networks Ltd from 2010 to 2012. Otu (Solomon) held the position of Manager, Central Security Operations and Manager, Regional Security Operations (North). In these roles, they were responsible for intelligence analysis, the development and implementation of security plans, and conducting investigations into reported security incidents.
Otu (Solomon) Udom's earlier work experience includes positions at Zain Nigeria as the Team Lead, Security (North) from 2008 to 2010, Celtel Nigeria Ltd as the Manager of Regional Security Operations (North) from 2006 to 2008, and Vmobile Nigeria as a Specialist in Service Providers' Management from 2005 to 2006.
Before transitioning to the private sector, Otu (Solomon) Udom worked at the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) as an Area Commander from 1995 to 2005.
Throughout their career, Otu (Solomon) Udom has gained extensive experience in developing security plans, policies, and procedures, managing guard forces, conducting investigations, and ensuring facility security. Otu (Solomon) also has experience in intelligence analysis, risk assessment, threat analysis, and security report writing.
Otu (Solomon) Udom pursued a Master's Degree in International Law & Diplomacy from the University of Lagos from 2000 to 2001. In addition, they obtained the Chartered Security Professional (ChSP) certification from the World Certification Institute in June 2017. Otu (Solomon) also obtained the MISN certification from the Institute of Security of Nigeria in September 2003.
