Doug Sanders

Doug Sanders serves as Assistant Counsel and National Field Representative for the National Treasury Employees Union since April 2015, advocating for the rights of public sector unionized employees. In addition, Doug has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law since January 2014, teaching courses on Employment Discrimination and Employment Law, with an emphasis on labor relations. Experience also includes serving as Treasurer for the Denver District Attorney since July 2013, managing campaign finances, and previous roles as a mediator and litigation attorney focused on Mine Safety and Health Administration violations. Earlier legal experience includes work as an associate attorney in various law firms, specializing in labor and employment issues, insurance litigation, and defense actions. Doug holds a J.D. from The University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. in Music from The University of Michigan.
