Albert Phelan Mshi

Albert Phelan MSHI, RHIA, CCS, CPC-H, CCDS, I-10 Trainer has extensive experience in coding compliance and quality assurance. Albert Phelan began their career as a Senior Coding Consultant at HP3/Navigant Consulting in 2002 and later joined HCA Shared Services as a Lead Quality Assurance Auditor/Coder in 2007. In these roles, Albert reviewed and audited Medicare DRGs, focused on RAC DRGs, and conducted POA and HAC reviews prior to billing. Albert Phelan then worked at Savista as a Global QA Auditor/Coordinator starting in 2011 and moved on to nThrive as a QA Lead Specialist/Coding Compliance Auditor in the same year. At nThrive, Albert ensured proper MS-DRG/APC assignment for stability of the organization and its clients. Throughout their career, Albert has demonstrated expertise in coding compliance, auditing, and quality assurance.

Albert Phelan holds a Master of Science degree in Health Informatics from Northern Kentucky University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management from the University of Central Florida.
