Girish Choukse

Girish Choukse is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the power sector, currently serving as the Thermal Power Plant Expert and former Chief General Manager & Business Unit Head at NTPC Limited since June 2014, overseeing the Operation & Maintenance function at NTPC Simhadri. Girish has contributed to NTPC's Business Excellence initiatives as an Assessor since 2010, evaluating various power stations under the organization. With a career spanning from September 1984 to 2014 at NTPC Ltd, Girish held several positions from Manager to AGM in various departments including Coal Handling and Maintenance Planning, starting as an Engineering Trainee. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jabalpur Engineering College, an M.B.A. in Finance from Indira Gandhi National Open University, and a recent certification as a Corporate Director from the Institute of Directors in India.
