Takahiro Sumimoto

Takahiro Sumimoto is an experienced professional in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as SVP of Marine Cable at NTT Ltd. since July 2019, where management includes oversight of submarine cables in the Indo-Pacific region, encompassing new construction, capacity sales, and network operations. Sumimoto has also held the position of CEO at Pacific Crossing since January 2011 and served in various roles at NTT America, including VP in the COO Office, and as Senior Director of Global Business Strategy at Pacific Crossing. Previous experience includes strategic planning for IP transit services as Senior Director at NTT Communications Corporation and roles in global business strategy and marketing at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation and NTT Europe Ltd. Sumimoto holds an MBA from HEC Paris and a BA in Human Geography from The University of Tokyo.
