Rianne Lachmeijer

Rianne Lachmeijer is a seasoned journalist and news editor currently working at NU.nl since April 2023. Previously, Rianne served as a journalist at Change Inc. from July 2017 to April 2023, focusing on sustainability and the transition to a carbon-neutral economy. Rianne has experience in news monitoring and media representation as an editor at Publistat Mediaonderzoek and has contributed to local radio programming at AmsterdamFM. Rianne's freelance work included writing and editing for De Correspondent while earlier internships included roles at AVROTROS and VPRO. Rianne holds a Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Amsterdam, alongside a Bachelor's degree from Maastricht University.
