Rypke Bakker

Rypke Bakker is an experienced sports journalist with a robust background in reporting and editorial roles. Currently serving as a sports reporter at NU.nl since January 2013, Rypke focuses on athletics and football, particularly the Dutch national team, while also having held leadership positions such as interim Sports Chef and Sports Coordinator at the same organization. Rypke's career includes reporting for the Jupiler League on Veronica, providing coverage for various sports at NUsport magazine, and freelance contributions to several regional newspapers, including AD Haagsche Courant and Leidsch Dagblad. Rypke holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Political Science and Government from Leiden University, complemented by a VWO degree in Culture & Society from Vlietland College.
