Joe Farris

Joe has spent more than 20 years in the HR field. Prior to co-founding Nua Group, Joe was a Senior Partner and San Francisco office leader at Mercer, a global consulting firm. Before that, he was the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Elan Pharmaceuticals, a global and publicly traded biotech company with headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. While the majority of Joe’s career has been in the Bay Area, he worked for two years in Sydney, Australia.

Joe has a degree in Finance from Santa Clara University, and he studied Central and Eastern European business in Vienna, Austria. He is the Co-chair of the Board of La Scuola, which is San Francisco’s first International Baccalaureate K-8 school. He also serves on the advisory board of Espresa, a wellness and services startup.

Joe is an avid cyclist, and he won’t miss his kids’ soccer matches. He loves good food and spends much of his free time in Napa Valley, where you’ll find his wine fridge stocked with French and Italian wines.
