Leslie Sedgeman

Leslie Sedgeman, PhD, is a scientist at Nuanced Health since January 2022, where responsibilities include managing obesity and metabolism research projects and collaborating with bioinformatics teams on data analysis and drug candidate evaluation. Previous roles include Outreach Lead and Media & Marketing Associate at Biotech Connection Los Angeles, facilitating communication and organizing significant events during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles, Leslie focused on bile acid biology in metabolic disease and RNA binding proteins related to glucose metabolism, while also serving as Chair of the Postdoctoral Association, organizing multiple community events. Leslie holds a PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Vanderbilt University and a BA in Chemistry from Vassar College.
