Dr Elizabeth Ursell

Vice President, Pharmacovigilance at NuCana

Dr Elizabeth Ursell has a wealth of experience in pharmacovigilance and compliance. Dr Elizabeth has been in the field since 2004, beginning their career as a Pharmacovigilance Officer at PPD. Dr Elizabeth then moved to Roche Pharmaceuticals as a Drug Safety Associate in 2006. Later that year, they took on the role of Pharmacovigilance Manager at Verius Limited. In 2011, they became a Compliance Manager at Gilead Sciences. In 2013, they took on the role of Director of Pharmacovigilance at Mapi Group, where they were responsible for a global pharmacovigilance service. In 2018, they became the Head of Pharmacovigilance and Compliance Excellence at Mundipharma Research Limited. In 2019, they took on the role of Senior Principal at Infosys Consulting, and Technical Director of Pharmacovigilance at Diamond Pharma Services. Most recently, in 2021, they began their role as Vice President of Pharmacovigilance at NuCana plc.

Dr Elizabeth Ursell received their Bsc in Molecular Biology from The University of Sheffield between 1997 and 2000. Dr Elizabeth then went on to obtain their PhD in Biology from the University of Southampton between 2000 and 2004. Finally, they completed their Msc in Pharmacovigilance from the University of Hertfordshire between 2010 and 2013.
