Ofir Shliefer

Ofir Shliefer has worked in a variety of roles since 2012. Ofir began their career in the Israel Defence Forces as a Human Resources Planner. In 2016, they joined Nucleix Ltd. as a Software Quality Assurance, where they designed and tested a biological experiment database in MySQL. In 2018, they became a Data Scientist (Bioinformatics Thesis) at Bar-Ilan University, where they conducted genomic analysis of high throughput RNA sequencing data and discovered novel long non-coding RNA editing sites. Ofir also completed an Environmental Internship at the University of M\u00fcnster. In 2020, they joined POMICELL Personally Optimized Medical Intelligence as an Algorithm Developer, where they researched and implemented novel AI algorithms in Python. Most recently, in 2021, they joined KPMG Israel as a Senior Data Scientist, where they developed advanced NLP algorithms using deep learning and classical machine learning for clients and maintained them in production.

Ofir Shliefer received their High School Diploma from Harav Thomi Bet in 2012, majoring in Biotechnology. From 2016 to 2019, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science and Biology (Bioinformatics) at Bar-Ilan University. In 2020, they completed a Master's degree in the same field at Bar-Ilan University.
