Lauren Russell

Lauren Russell possesses extensive experience in corporate communications and philanthropy, currently serving as the Manager of Corporate Communications and Philanthropy at Nucor Corporation since July 2013, after roles as a Communications Specialist and Executive Administrative Assistant within the same organization. Prior to this, Lauren held the position of Manager for Fundraising and Special Events at the American Diabetes Association from July 2009 to June 2013, where responsibilities included managing the Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes event, focusing on partnerships, sponsorships, and participant engagement. Earlier experience includes serving as a Program Coordinator at Arthritis Services between November 2007 and July 2009, concentrating on program development and fundraising initiatives. Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Arts in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
