Perry Sellers has a diverse range of work experience spanning over three decades. Perry currently holds the position of Director of Engineering at Nucraft Furniture since August 2021. Prior to this, Perry worked as the Owner of Innovative Dimensional Solutions, LLC from January 2018, where they specialized in analytics and data science. Perry also served as a Sr. Applied Data Scientist at dunnhumby from January 2019 until August 2021. Perry has had several roles at Steelcase, including Analyst - Advanced Analytics in 2018 and various positions as a Healthcare Research Analyst, Sr. Leader, Built Environment, and Sr. Leader Architectural Healthcare Products from 2015 to 2017. From 2001 to 2015, they worked at Herman Miller Inc. in roles such as Engineering Manager - Healthcare and Dimensional Management Engineer, Product Development Engineer, Program Manager. Perry began their career as a Project Engineer at Johnson Controls from 1996 to 2000 and served as a Nuclear Machinist Mate - Third Class in the US Navy from 1988 to 1991.
Perry Sellers holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. Perry also has a Master's degree in Business Analytics from the Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business. In addition to their formal education, Perry has obtained several certifications including Amazon Web Services Essential Training and Amazon Web Services Machine Learning Essential Training from LinkedIn. Perry has also completed courses in Building and Deploying Deep Learning Applications with TensorFlow from LinkedIn, Data Analysis in R, the data.table Way from DataCamp, and Intro to Python for Data Science from DataCamp. Perry has further enhanced their skills through certifications in Lean Product Development from the University of Michigan, ASME GDTP 14.5 from ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers), and Product Design for Six Sigma from Focus.
