Juan Manuel Zapién

Juan Manuel Zapién has worked in various roles in the commercial and finance industries since 2005. In 2005, they worked as Gerente de Finanzas y Relaciones Públicas at Busa Promotions, where they were responsible for developing financial models for entertainment events, promoting entertainment events, and raising funds for charitable institutions. In 2006, they worked as General Manager at Elmor Eventos, where they were responsible for administration, payroll, paying suppliers, developing and implementing administrative and commercial processes, and sales and prospecting of corporate clients. From 2007 to 2011, they worked as Commercial Manager at NETSER S.A. de C.V., where they were responsible for commercializing turnkey technology projects for government and private initiative, selling technological equipment to more than 50 municipalities for the implementation of the Federal "Plataforma México" program (SUBSEMUN), and coordinating tenders at the national, state, and municipal level. From 2020 to 2022, they worked as Director General at Apotecaria International Pharmacy, where they provided access to medications not available locally for patients with catastrophic or chronic diseases in Oncology, Hematology, and Urology. Currently, they are working as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Nufi (Techstars '21).

Juan Manuel Zapién attended Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2000 to 2005, where they earned a B.A. in Financial Management with a focus in Finance. Juan Manuel then attended Pacifico Universidad from 2022 to 2023, where they earned a Maestría en Gobierno y Políticas Públicas.
