Kelly Uphoff

Kelly Uphoff is a seasoned technology and data science professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Tala, Kelly has successfully built a global technology organization of over 180 personnel, significantly enhancing execution velocity and driving innovative machine learning and AI initiatives. Previously, in the role of Vice President of Data Science & Engineering at Netflix, Kelly led data strategy for a $12 billion content investment, optimizing marketing approaches and internal product ecosystems. Kelly's earlier experiences include data science roles at GEICO and foundational work with the Peace Corps, where entrepreneurial projects were developed to support local communities. Kelly Uphoff holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from Illinois State University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from The George Washington University.
