Reid Weigner

Senior Product Designer at Numerated

Reid Weigner has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Reid began their career as a Professional Musician, where they toured the continental US, played at well-known festivals, and composed music for ensembles, bands, and commercials. In 2019, they transitioned to the field of UX Design, working as a Freelance UX Designer. In this role, they served as the sole UX/UI designer on a small team, conducting user interviews, synthesizing data, and revamping the registration process for a platform centered around music recitals. Reid's work as a Freelance UX Designer continued until 2022.

In 2021, Reid joined Northeastern University as a Graduate Research Assistant. Reid conducted research on consumer content consumption, using quantitative and qualitative methods. Reid analyzed data to inform design decisions that would discourage the spread of misinformation and worked on a fully funded NSF project, collaborating with faculty to design cues for micro-predictability in unscripted human-robot interactions.

Most recently, Reid joined Numerated as a Senior Product Designer in 2023. Reid is currently responsible for leading the design of new products, utilizing their expertise in user experience to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.

Reid Weigner has a diverse education history. From 2021 to 2023, Reid pursued a Master of Science degree in Experience Design at Northeastern University. Prior to that, in 2019, Reid completed the User Experience Design Immersive program at General Assembly. In terms of undergraduate education, Reid attended the University of North Carolina Asheville from 2008 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Music. Alongside their formal education, Reid also obtained several certifications including Agile Software Development, Figma: Handing off to Developers, SEO Foundations, Zeplin for UX Design, and Google Analytics for Beginners.
