Ida Dokk Smith

Ida Dokk Smith is a Senior Research Fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) since August 2021. Previously, Smith worked as a researcher at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute in June 2020 and held a PhD Fellowship at the University of Oslo from August 2012 to March 2019, focusing on strategic challenges in international climate and energy policy. Prior to academic roles, Smith served as a Senior Associate at Pricewaterhouse Coopers Advisory from January 2008 to August 2010 and completed an internship at The SEEP Network from August 2005 to June 2006. Educational qualifications include a Master of International Affairs in Energy and Environment Policy from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (2010-2012), a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Bergen (2003-2006), and participation in the Washington Semester Program at American University in Development Economics and International Development (2004-2005).
