John Karlsrud

John Karlsrud is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in international affairs, peacekeeping, and investment. Currently serving on the Board of Directors for Fortress Fund I and Oncosyne, Karlsrud also holds a position as a Research Professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs and manages the Peace, Conflict, and Development Research Group. With a robust history in investment, Karlsrud functions as a Seed Investor through Daedalus AS, engaging in multiple funding rounds for emerging enterprises. Previous roles include Special Assistant to the UN Secretary General's Special Representative in Chad, and various positions within UNDP and NATO. Karlsrud's academic credentials include a PhD in Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick, along with master's and bachelor’s degrees from The Australian National University and the University of Bergen.
