Tamta Gelashvili is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Oslo since August 2020 and a Junior Research Fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs since August 2019. With previous experience as a Referent at the Embassy of Georgia to the Kingdom of Norway and a Research Intern at the United Nations University-MERIT, Tamta has a strong background in research and analysis. Earlier roles include Organizational Development Manager and Fundraiser at the Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center, along with academic positions as a Visiting Lecturer in Contemporary Middle East studies and Politics of Middle Eastern Countries at the University of Georgia and Georgian American University, respectively. Tamta's academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Oslo, a Master of Science in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Amsterdam, and dual bachelor's degrees in Political Science and International Relations and Business Administration from the American University in Bulgaria, among other educational achievements.
