Madiha Jamal

Madiha Jamal has worked in a variety of roles in the medical and engineering fields since 2011. In 2011, they were an Instrumentation Internee at Dar-ul-Sehat Hospital of Medicine and Dentistry. In 2012, they were a Research Assistant Intern at Centre of Non Communicable Diseases, where they learned biological sample processing and blood grouping, collected biological and clinical information from study patients, and performed bio-statistical analysis. In 2013, they were a Research Assistant Intern at Karachi Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Research Assistant and Visiting Research Scholar-Bio-Mems Lab (Microfluidic Team) at San Diego State University (Bioengineering Lab). During this time, they designed and fabricated LoDs (Lab on Disk) using SolidWorks and CNC milling, tested and analyzed flow patterns over channels using webcam, and quantified bacteria in a toilet bowl water sample using qPCR. From 2017 to 2018, they were an External Quality Analyst and Supplier Quality Engineer at Abbott. During this time, they provided technical support for the introduction/change of components/procedure from a new supplier, analyzed incoming material defects, and managed the complaint file for Abbott's CRM (Cardiac rhythm) devices. From 2018 to 2021, they were a Product Quality Engineer at Teleflex Incorporated, where they drove the NC (Non-Conformance) process including containment, root cause investigation; corrective action and disposition of nonconforming materials arising due to field product performance, and implemented and mentored Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) program. Currently, they are a Design Assurance Engineer/ Project Engineer at NuPulseCV, Inc.

Madiha Jamal has a Master's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from San Diego State University which they obtained between 2014 and 2016. Madiha also has a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology which they obtained between 2009 and 2013. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from AAMI, SolidProfessor, and SolidProfessor's Prep Course for the CSWA Exam.
