Jenelle Benson's education history begins with their enrollment at Northern Illinois University in 2009 in the field of Biology/Biological Sciences, General. However, they did not obtain a degree from this institution. Following this, from 2010 to 2014, Jenelle attended Rockford University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Jenelle pursued further education at Rockford University from 2016 to 2018. During this time, they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching.

In addition to their academic degrees, Jenelle has obtained several certifications. In November 2019, they completed the Blending, Tableting, and Coating Training program offered by Natoli Engineering Company Inc. More recently, in January 2021, Jenelle completed the Digital Customer Engagement course provided by Kerry. On top of these certifications, they also hold a Professional Educator License in Science-Biology Senior HS - Grade 9 through Grade 12 granted by the Illinois State Board of Education.
