Robert Kim

Robert Kim is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical and autonomous vehicle engineering. Currently serving as the Head of AV Hardware Engineering and Head of Mechanical Engineering at Nuro since November 2016, Robert has successfully led teams in delivering multiple generations of custom goods-only vehicles. Prior to this role, Robert contributed as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Google from July 2013 to November 2016, playing a key role in the development of the first driverless autonomous vehicle. Additionally, Robert held positions at Abbott Medical Optics and Applied Materials, where responsibilities included advancing engineering practices and mechanical design for innovative technologies. Robert began a career in engineering with a co-op position at Johnson & Johnson. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
