Su Pang serves as a Perception ML Engineer at Nuro since September 2022, focusing on 3D object detection, LiDAR semantic segmentation, flow, and occupancy estimation. Prior experience includes a PhD research role at Michigan State University from August 2017 to August 2022, contributing to the CANVAS program with research on 3D object detection and tracking, as well as sensor fusion for autonomous vehicles. Su Pang also participated in the SRC Research Scholars Program from May 2019 to May 2022, concentrating on multi-layer adaptive sensor fusion and 4D perception. During a brief tenure as an ADAS Researcher at Ford Motor Company in summer 2021, work involved radar and camera fusion for object tracking.
