Tilo Schwarz is an experienced professional in the field of autonomous driving, currently serving as Vice President and Head of Autonomy at Nuro. Previously, Tilo held various significant roles at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America, Inc., including Director of Autonomous Driving and Distinguished Engineer, where Tilo focused on AD Intelligence and architecture for autonomous systems. Tilo's career began at Daimler AG as a Principal Engineer in Research and Development and as a PhD student, with a foundational role as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Stuttgart. Tilo Schwarz holds a Master of Arts in Physics from Stony Brook University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics from Kiel University.
