Yisheng Zhang

Yisheng Zhang is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in the fields of automated driving, hybrid systems, and vehicle electrification. Currently serving as the Head of Controls and Embedded Software at Nuro, Yisheng has held multiple leadership roles in previous positions at Aptiv, including Senior Engineering Manager of Automated Driving Software, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing large teams and developing critical driving software. Prior experience at Parker Hannifin involved significant contributions to electrification strategies and hybrid systems development, while also engaging in safety standard enhancements through participation in ISO committees. Yisheng's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MBA from Ohio University, and advanced degrees in Automotive Engineering from Tsinghua University and Beijing Institute of Technology.
