Philip van Rooyen

Philip van Rooyen is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software configuration management, system engineering, and project management across various sectors, including nuclear, aerospace, and military systems. Currently serving as a Software Configuration Management Engineer at NuScale Power, LLC since March 2014, Philip is responsible for developing and maintaining software configuration plans and repositories. Prior roles include Senior System Engineer at Denel Land Systems, Engineering Services Manager at Optimal Energy, and Chief Engineering Specialist at PBMR (Pty) Ltd, where Philip contributed to qualification engineering and software development oversight. Philip's earlier career involved leadership in software engineering management and strategic implementation at Denel Aviation, along with academic experience as a Senior Lecturer at Witwatersrand Technikon. An alumnus of the University of Pretoria, Philip holds an M.Eng and a B.Eng in Electronic Engineering.
