Rebecca Norris

Rebecca Norris currently serves as the NuScale Branch Vice Chair for U.S. Women in Nuclear since April 2023 and has been the Work Planning and Execution Lead at NuScale Power since March 2019. In this role, Rebecca oversees planning and scheduling for the NRC review of the Standard Design Approval application. Previously, as Licensing Supervisor at NuScale, Rebecca led a team that achieved the first-ever approval of a small modular reactor design by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Additional experience includes serving as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the US Navy, where Rebecca ranked #1 among Division Officers, and as a Senior Reactor Operator at the Nuclear Engineering Teaching Lab at UT Austin. Rebecca holds a Master of Engineering in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State World Campus and a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Physics and Mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin.
