Gayle Sheppard

Gayle Sheppard is a proven CEO and technology executive building maximum value, responsible for building and growing technology startups with a lucrative exit and leverages people, process, and technology to drive results at the most respected technology companies in the world.

Gayle’s career has focused on leading growth in global public corporations and privately held new technology companies by shaping the vision, strategy, teams, intellectual property, and products to grow and develop markets around the world. Her wide experience in business building as a start-up CEO with successful exits, a Fortune 100 Operating Executive, and roles with Public and Private Boards, including a multi-billion-dollar Med Tech company, uniquely position her to shape and assess business vision and effective growth strategies.

Currently, Gayle is the Corporate Vice President and Head of Global Expansion and Digital Transformation for Microsoft Cloud and AI, a Fortune 50 global technology company with over $125B in sales and in the top three of Forbes most respected companies list. With 50% of Microsoft’s business outside the U.S. Gayle develops and leads the teams responsible for Microsoft Cloud and AI's global expansion for both public and sovereign clouds, Microsoft’s Vanguard Customer Innovation Program, Ecosystem leadership in emerging markets, and Engineering tooling for customer strategic workloads and future technology development.

Previously, Gayle was GM/VP of Saffron AI, an AI/machine learning business unit, acquired by Intel, for which Gayle was a founder and the Chairman of the Board and CEO pre-acquisition. Gayle’s software career includes leadership roles at PeopleSoft and J.D. Edwards, with experiences including building and shaping Asia Pacific and Japan markets, leading global software sales and services organizations, and working with customers across the Global 1000 to achieve their business expansion and transformation plans.

In addition to serving as a member of our board of directors, Gayle also serves as a board advisor to NovaSignal, a medical technology company helping doctors and patients detect disease through robotics and artificial intelligence. She previously served as a Director on Envista Holdings Corporation (NVST), a major medical technology holding company representing three operating companies in the dental technology industry, where she served on the Compensation committee. Gayle received a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from the University of South Florida.
