Cheryl Horst

Cheryl Horst is an experienced professional in intellectual property and technology commercialization, currently serving as the Interim Executive Director at NUtech Ventures since May 2009. Throughout their tenure, Cheryl has held various roles including Associate Director/IP Counsel, Assistant Director, Director of Licensing, and Technology Agent/Patent Agent, with a focus on the commercialization of university research in the life sciences, patent analysis, marketing, and licensing. In addition, Cheryl co-founded CNG IP Consulting, LLC, a boutique firm specializing in intellectual property consulting, prior art searching, technology transfer, and competitive intelligence from May 2018 to 2022. Cheryl's educational background includes a Juris Doctor in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, as well as a Master of Science in Bacteriology and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Microbiology & Immunology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
