Damian Walsh

Damian Walsh has a diverse range of work experience. Damian started their career as a Senior Audit Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers and worked there from February 2005 to March 2009. Damian then joined the Bank of New Zealand as a Reporting Analyst from March 2009 to August 2010. Damian worked as a Grants Auditor (Contractor) at the Department of Internal Affairs from September 2010 to June 2011, where they implemented an effective grant audit program and offered technical accounting advice. Damian then joined The Wellcome Trust in August 2011 and held various roles such as Grants Accountant, Senior Accountant, and Financial Accountant. Damian'sresponsibilities included data migration, year-end preparation of accounts, process improvement, budgeting, control framework development, and grant eligibility checks. Damian is currently working at Nutmeg as the Head of Payment Operations, a position they have held since February 2024.

Damian Walsh attended Victoria University of Wellington from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (BCA) degree and a Bachelor of Tourism Management (BTM) degree. Damian'sareas of study included accounting, commercial law, and tourism. Additionally, they obtained a certification as an Accountant/Certified Public Accountant from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2008.
