Matt Clifton

Matt Clifton currently serves as the IT Security & Compliance Manager at Nutrabolt, overseeing cybersecurity initiatives and developing information security policies since May 2021. Prior to this role, Matt worked as an IT Security Consultant for the City of Austin Information Security Office, where the responsibilities included fostering an Information Assurance workgroup and coaching employees on assessments and digital forensic investigations. From May 2013 to March 2020, Matt was a Supervising Senior Auditor at the Office of the City Auditor, managing compliance audits and interpreting governance frameworks. Earlier experience includes conducting investigative audits at the City Auditor's Office and providing research support at the US Census Bureau. Matt holds a Certificate in Cybersecurity, a Master of Science in Community & Regional Planning, a Master of Public Affairs, and a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Spanish, all from The University of Texas at Austin and Georgetown University.
