Matthew Custer

Matthew Custer is currently the President & CEO at Nutrex-Hawaii. Matthew previously served as the Plant Manager at Hamakua Macadamia Nut Company from August 2005 to September 2015. In this role, they were responsible for spearheading the operations and supply chain processes for the processing and packaging products of the multi-million-dollar company, while also executing the dotted line responsibilities for HR, purchasing, and visitor center operations.

During their tenure as Plant Manager, Custer successfully increased the annual processing of the factory to >10million pounds from 3million pounds through process improvements. Matthew also slashed payroll expenses by an average of 4.7%, resulting in annual savings of >$100,000. In addition, Custer reduced the distribution cost by 8.5% with a novel stock inventory system that engaged direct sales with volume buyers by leading a multi-departmental team.

Thanks to their accomplishments, Custer was promoted to President & CEO at Nutrex-Hawaii, where they continue to lead the company to success.

Matthew Custer's educational career began at Elmwood High School, where they studied accounting. Matthew then attended the University of Hawaii, where they continued their studies in accounting.
