Sebastien Lavoie

Sebastien Lavoie, P.Eng., is an experienced mine engineer currently employed at Nutrien since April 2018. Prior to this role, Sebastien worked at PotashCorp in various capacities, including Mine Engineering Technician and Mine Engineer Student, where responsibilities included performing rock mechanics and ventilation tasks, designing cutting and ventilation plans, and studying surface subsidence trends. Earlier experience includes a CO-OP position at Nuna Logistics, overseeing operations at the Baffinland Iron Mines project, and a role as a Mining Sales Engineer Student at Finning (Canada), conducting on-site scale studies and production analysis. Sebastien's career began with practical experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Syncrude Canada Ltd. and is backed by a Bachelor of Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Alberta.
