Cara Cesario

Cara Cesario is an accomplished professional in the field of product development and scientific research, currently serving as the VP of Product Development at Nutrition21 since March 2021. Previously, Cara held the position of Chief Science Officer at Sweet Defeat, where significant contributions included the development and scaling of a high-purity plant-based extract to reduce sugar cravings. Experience also includes serving as Product Manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, managing a $120 million global portfolio, as well as senior research roles at Astellas Pharma US and Pfizer, focusing on innovative therapeutic solutions. Academia includes a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Stonehill College.
