John Salama

John Salama has worked as a Lead Software Developer at Nuvation Energy since April 2023. Prior to that, they were a Staff Software Developer at the same company from January 2022 to April 2023. John also has experience as a Research Engineer at The Emera & NB Power Research Centre for Smart Grid Technologies from November 2020 to July 2022. John was a Data Engineer at UofT Hatchery from April 2020 to November 2020. John was a Thesis Student at Toronto Rehabilitation Institute from September 2019 to April 2020. John also worked as a Physical/Software Designer at Interactive Media Lab from September 2019 to February 2020. John Salama has interned at University Health Network and University of Toronto as a Summer Intern and Summer Researcher respectively, both from May 2019 to September 2019. Lastly, they were a Research Assistant at MIT Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research from June 2018 to July 2019.

John Salama holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Toronto, which they completed from 2015 to 2020. John also spent the academic year 2018-2019 as a visiting student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on Engineering. John pursued further education at the University of Waterloo, where they are currently enrolled in a Master of Applied Science program in Software Engineering, with expected completion in 2024. In addition to their formal education, John has obtained certifications in "Building Deep Learning Applications with Keras 2.0" and "Programming Foundations: Algorithms" from LinkedIn in the year 2020.
