Ed Birkett

Ed Birkett is an experienced technology professional currently serving as the Lead Software Developer at the Royal Pharmaceutical Society since November 2023, focusing on solution and technical architecture. With a career spanning over three decades, Ed has an extensive background in software development, cloud solutions, and project management, previously holding roles such as Cloud Solutions Architect and Innovation & Digital Ventures Director at Designing Tomorrow Ltd, which Ed founded in 2011. Ed's experience includes positions at crmSOS, Thomson Reuters, Multex, Standard Bank London, and Xerox Technical Centre & PARC, where responsibilities ranged from business development and strategic alliances to managing web-based solutions portfolios and designing e-commerce solutions. Ed holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science with a specialization in Systems Architecture from the University of Essex, complemented by a foundation in secondary education from Licensed Victuallers School.
