Elena Piercy

Elena Piercy is a seasoned professional in higher education and nonprofit engagement, currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Nuveen Partnerships and Culture Transformation at Nuveen, a TIAA company, since July 2023. In this role, Elena oversees relationships with global nonprofit organizations and industry alliances to promote inclusion and innovative thought leadership. Previously, Elena was Associate Dean for School-wide Initiatives and Chief of Staff at NYU Stern School of Business from August 2018 to July 2023, where responsibilities included leading strategic initiatives and advising the dean. Prior to that, Elena held the position of Senior Executive Director for External Relations and Development at Columbia Business School from August 2012 to July 2018, focusing on corporate and foundation partnerships. Elena's career at NYU Stern began in 2002, where Elena progressed through various roles in corporate relations and communications. Elena holds a Master of Arts in French Studies from American University and a BA in History and French, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University.
