Jean-Guy Boiteau

Jean-Guy Boiteau has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry and academia. Jean-Guy is currently the Head of Chemical Development at Nuvisan Pharma Services since September 2018. Prior to this, they worked as a University Lecturer at Université Nice Sophia Antipolis since August 2018.

From 2003 to 2018, Jean-Guy worked at Galderma, where they held several roles including Head of Process Research & Development, CMC Senior Scientific Expert, and Team Leader of Medicinal Chemistry. During their time at Galderma, they were responsible for route selection, process development, manufacturing, and impurity control for various projects. Jean-Guy also conducted external opportunity assessments and served as a trouble-shooter for advanced and commercialized projects.

Before joining Galderma, Jean-Guy worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Groningen, where they conducted research on enantioselective catalysis. Jean-Guy also completed their Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at Université de Haute-Alsace Mulhouse-Colmar, where they explored applications of Ring Closure Metathesis reaction and synthesized antiangiogenic compounds.

Jean-Guy also gained industrial experience through internships at Hoffmann-La Roche and Ciba. Jean-Guy started their career as a Technician at Sanofi.

Jean-Guy Boiteau has a diverse educational background in the field of chemistry. Jean-Guy began their education at Lycée Jean Mermoz, where they obtained a Bac F6 degree with a specialization in chemistry in 1992. Following this, they attended Lycée déodat de séverac from 1992 to 1994, where they underwent intensive courses in mathematics, physics, and chemistry.

In 1994, Boiteau enrolled in Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Mulhouse, where they pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering. Jean-Guy successfully completed their studies in 1998.

Continuing their academic journey, Boiteau joined Université de Haute-Alsace Mulhouse-Colmar in 1997, where they attained a Master's degree; however, the field of study for this degree is unspecified.

From 1998 to 2001, Boiteau remained at Université de Haute-Alsace Mulhouse-Colmar and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Total Synthesis. Their research focused on this specific area within chemistry.

In 2001, Boiteau took a postdoctoral position with the B. Feringa group at the University of Groningen. During their time there, they specialized in asymmetric catalysis, contributing to the cutting-edge advancements in this field.
