Christopher Ohlmacher

Christopher Ohlmacher has over 10 years of work experience. In 2021, they began their role as a Student in the Software Engineering Career Track at Springboard Software Engineering. In 2020, they volunteered as a Front End Software Engineer at FightPandemics, where they resolved tickets for various front-end components and developed API features. From 2016 to 2020, Christopher worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at NxStage Medical, Inc., where they worked on new product development as a hardware design engineer for Water Purification and Dialysate Mixing modules for in-home hemodialysis treatment. Christopher also effectively maintained production of the NxStage’s hemodialysis blood and dialysate Cycler while implementing product improvements. From 2011 to 2016, Christopher worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer II at Rhythmia Medical (acquired by Boston Scientific in Oct 2012). In this role, they contributed to the design and development of the Orion mapping catheter used in high-resolution mapping of cardiac electrical pathways to treat arrhythmia. Christopher also worked with suppliers to improve processes and evaluate process changes for major components of the catheter including a fine-pitched flexible printed circuit and bi-directional articulating extruded shaft. Christopher also led testing efforts for root cause investigations and risk assessment during Limited Market Release of the Orion catheter to quickly address customer feedback while ensuring uninterrupted launch into market. In 2022, Christopher began their role as a Frontend Engineer at NuvoAir.

Christopher Ohlmacher obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2007 and 2011. In April 2021, they also became a Triplebyte Certified Front-end Engineer.
